No-code and low-code
No-code and low-code are ways of building or modifying applications without writing code, or writing very little of it: flows, forms and rules are assembled with visual tools. In process management they let the change be made by whoever knows the business.
Their advantage is not saving on developers but shortening the cycle: a rule change that in custom development joins the queue of a sprint gets applied here the same day. In operations with shifting regulation, that difference decides whether the system helps or gets in the way.
Their limit is worth being clear about: they work for the flow and the rules, not for everything. Complex integrations, heavy calculations and very specific logic still need development, and promising otherwise is the fastest way for a project to stall.
