ERP integration
ERP integration is the connection between the field system and the company administrative system, so that orders, customers, materials and costs travel between the two without anyone typing them in again.
It is what decides whether a field system adds work or duplicates it. Without integration, the operation enters data twice and someone reconciles; and reconciliation always loses against volume: by the third month there are two versions of the truth and an argument about which one counts.
What is worth defining before connecting is the direction of each piece of data: who owns the customer, who owns the material, who owns the price. A bidirectional integration without declared owners is the most common way for two systems to overwrite each other.
